A targeted stakeholder meeting was held with representatives of the Pancyprian Medical Association and the Cyprus Patients’ Associations Federation to discuss the secondary use of health data and the implementation of the EHDS in Cyprus.
The meeting provided an opportunity to present the emerging framework for the national secondary-use infrastructure and to examine the perspectives of healthcare professionals and patient representatives.
The discussion focused on the roles, responsibilities, expectations and concerns of the medical and patient communities, including the conditions required for trusted access to health data, transparent governance and meaningful stakeholder involvement.
The meeting contributed to stakeholder awareness and supported the inclusion of professional and patient perspectives in Cyprus’s preparations for implementing the secondary-use provisions of the EHDS.
