Multi-Stakeholder Workshop on the Secondary Use of Health Data

The CY-EHDS-2nd and TEHDAS2 projects organised a participatory workshop entitled “Secondary Use of Health Data through the CY-EHDS-2nd and TEHDAS2 Projects.”

The workshop aimed to strengthen stakeholder understanding of the secondary use of health data, the European Health Data Space and the national infrastructure being developed in Cyprus.

Participants represented different stakeholder groups, including:

• Data holders;

• Data users; and

• Officers involved in Health Data Access Body functions.

Participants were divided into mixed working groups and assigned selected milestones from the second wave of TEHDAS2 outputs. Each group examined its assigned milestone and discussed how the corresponding requirements and implementation concepts could be applied at both national and cross-border levels.

At the end of the workshop, each group presented its findings and conclusions to all participants. Participants also completed a questionnaire, providing further insight into their understanding, expectations and views regarding the topics examined.

The workshop enabled stakeholders with different roles and perspectives to discuss practical processes and tangible implementation tasks concerning the secondary use of health data. This collaborative approach supported their familiarisation with the EHDS secondary-use framework and with the infrastructure being developed for Cyprus.
