Project Contribution to the 2nd Pancyprian Oncology Conference
The project contributed to the 2nd Pancyprian Oncology Conference, held from 5 to 7 February 2026 at Hilton Nicosia in Nicosia, Cyprus.
During the session “European Health Data Space in Oncology: Opportunities, Challenges and National Readiness,” Maria Papaioannou co-presented “Implementing EHDS in Cyprus for Primary Use and Secondary Use.”
The session connected the implementation of the European Health Data Space with the specific requirements of oncology, focusing on how national-scale infrastructures for the secondary use of health data can support cancer research, improve clinical decision-making and enable evidence-based policymaking. Maria Papaioannou subsequently participated in a round-table discussion on national readiness and future implementation priorities.
